Permissible point loading= max. 70 kN acting on an areaof 10 x 10 cm.The permissible load on the foyerfloors is 5 kN/m². In the area of directaccess to the halls, a maximumground load of 30 kN/m² ispermitted. The permissible ground load in hall4.1 is 5 kN/m².6.3 Loading of walls & ceilingsIt is not permissible to secure standstructures to parts of the hall ceilingsor walls. This also applies toattachments to prevent stand structuresfrom toppling. Stand constructionmaterial may not beleaned against outside walls anddoors, because these partially consistof glass or acoustic material.Exceptional permission for the suspensionof items from ceilingsshould be applied for throughMESSE BREMEN's TechnicalManagement, who will thenarrange for preparation of the suspension,if appropriate. The attachingof decorations or suchlike tosprinkler pipes, water pipes, ventilationpipes or other installations orobjects that form part of the halls isprohibited.6.4 Stand and exhibit safetyThe exhibitor is responsible for thestability and safety of all standstructures and exhibits; proof of thismay be required. For the construction of stands, onlyapproved materials may be used.Load-carrying parts must havebeen checked, and such checksmust be certified (structural calculations). This applies especially totwo-storey exhibition stands. Thesemust in all cases be approved bythe Bremen Building RegulationsAuthority (the BOA). Constructionmaterials and components for theconstruction of stands must benon-flammable or flame resistant.DIN 4102 B1 shall apply as a basis.Construction materials which arehighly flammable or which dripwhen burning are not permissible.Decorative materials must be nonflammable. On request, appropriateevidence must be provided by thestand operator.Flower arrangements with leafy orpine twigs, trees or similar may notbe used.Materials which burn explosively(such as bamboo, hay, straw orpeat) are not permissible.6.4.1 Stand ceilingsSprinkler systems are installed inhall 4.01, 4.1 and in the foyers ofhall 4 to 6. In these halls, every singlesquare metre of every standceiling must be open to an extent ofat least 75 %, in order to allowTECHNISCHE RICHTLINIEN TECHNICAL GUIDELINES | TECHNICAL GUIDELINESsprinkler water to pass verticallythrough the ceiling. Otherwise, astand sprinkler system must be installedfor surfaces situated underneath;such cases must becoordinated with MESSE BRE-MEN's Technical Management.Textile ceilings (mesh size of atleast 2 x 4 mm) suitable for use withsprinklers are permitted, providedthat the span does not exceed5.00 m.No heat source of any kind is permittedin the vicinity of the sprinklernozzles, as these are activated at atemperature of about 68 °C, i.e.they then automatically spray waterinto the hall. The exhibitor will be held liable forany damage that occurs.Construction material for stand ceilingsmust be non-flammable.6.4.2 Access to technicalfacilities of the hallsHand-held fire extinguishers, firedetectors, pushbutton alarms, wallmountedhydrants, smoke flap actuatorsand the associated warningnotices must at all times be accessibleand visible. The functioning offire protection gates and fire doorsmust not be restricted by installationsof any kind, such as electriccables.
