shorts. But a growing number of<br />
clothing producers find that less than<br />
ideal. They advocate foregoing a trip to<br />
a global clothing chain’s nearest outlet<br />
and instead cutting short a pair of long<br />
trousers already lurking in the back of<br />
the closet. Independent designers at<br />
the <strong>Berlin</strong> Alternative Fashion Week<br />
show ‘REUSE:it’ demonstrate just<br />
how hip this kind of “upcycling” can<br />
be. Free styling tips for visitors’ own<br />
wardrobes are also available on the<br />
Saturday. The advice should help those<br />
fashionistas who are unsure which of<br />
their 20 pairs of barely-worn trousers<br />

sein. Besonders künstlerisch gelingt<br />
das Spencer Tunick. Seit den 1990ern<br />
inszeniert der <strong>New</strong> <strong>York</strong>er Fotograf<br />
groß angelegte Installationen, für die<br />
er Hunderte von entblößten Fremden<br />
in der Landschaft platziert. Gibt es<br />
einen stilvolleren Weg, um den eigenen<br />
Ursprungszustand für die Ewigkeit<br />
