Publikationen des Statistischen Bundesamtes. Dort können Sie nicht nur
unsere lieferbaren Buchtitel bestellen, sondern sich unmittelbar unsere
Veröffentlichungen zu Querschnittsthemen oder Fachstatistiken kostenlos
downloaden.
Kunden, die sich registrieren, steht eine Zusatzoption zur Verfügung, um sich

85 Millionen Werten Daten auf Ihren individuellen Bedarf zuschneiden,
abrufen und in verschiedenen Formaten auf Ihrem PC speichern. GENESIS-
Online ermöglicht insbesondere die Darstellung von Entwicklungen im
Zeitablauf. Länder- und regionale Daten bietet Ihnen die Datenbank
GENESIS-Online Regional unter www.regionalstatistik.de/genesis.

Das Informationssystem der Gesundheitsberichterstattung des Bundes
(GBE) bietet unter www.gbe-bund.de Informationen über die gesundheitliche
Lage und die gesundheitliche Versorgung der Bevölkerung in Deutschland.
Sie stützt sich dabei auf daten- und indikatorengestützte Beschreibungen
und Analysen. Die Themenfelder der GBE des Bundes sind so gewählt, dass
sie alle Bereiche des Gesundheitswesens abdecken.

Information offered on the Internet
All the information published by the Federal Statistical Office is available the
same day on the Internet at www.destatis.de. Our bilingual homepage in
German and English offers, for example:

– current economic and short-term data,

– access to GENESIS-Online, the information database,
– access to online data collection systems,
– access to European statistics at www.eds-destatis.de, and

More than five million page hits per month are evidence of frequent use.
Texts, tables and charts provide a quick overview. Interactive graphs
supplement the traditional forms of presentation and encourage users to

web magazine called STATmagazin provides statistical background
information on issues that are the focus of public debate.
Publication Service
The Office’s Publication Service, which is accessible at www.destatis.de/
publikationen, is the online platform for distributing printed and electronic
publications of the Federal Statistical Office. You may not only place your
orders for our printed publications there, but also download free of charge
publications on cross-sector themes or specialised statistics.
Users who have registered may benefit from an additional service, i.e., being
notified of each new edition of a publication by e-mail.
Under the heading »Publications and information« at the end of each chapter
of the Statistical Yearbook, information is provided on the series we issue on
the subject and on other recent publications.

Online databases
GENESIS-Online is a statistical information system which encompasses well
over 85 million data in more than 160 different statistics. This system, which
you may access at www.destatis.de/genesis, gives you the opportunity to
retrieve and store data exactly tailored to your needs in various formats on
your PC. In particular, GENESIS-Online allows you to follow trends over time.
Data for the Länder and regional levels can be retrieved from the GENESIS-
Online Regional database to be accessed at www.regionalstatistik.de/
genesis.

The Health Monitoring System of the Federation (GBE), which can be
accessed at www.gbe-bund.de, supplies information on the health situation
of the population and healthcare in Germany. The information is based on
data and indicator-supported descriptions and analyses. The range of issues
covered by the Federation’s GBE is designed to include all areas of the
healthcare system.
