and viscose cotton blends. “It was a conscious decision to concentrate
on this aspect of ready-made production,” Sait Molu explains.
“After all, we are aiming for perfection.”
Karsu Tekstil produces merchandise for international labels
such as the Camel Collection, Levi’s, Dockers and Newman,
and has even introduced its own brand called prima luce. The
Karsu Tekstil yarn is produced in the principal factory near the
town Kayseri, in the center of Turkey. The cloth is woven in Kayseri,
as well as in Hadimöky, a suburb of Istanbul. Dyeing and finishing
take place in the company’s own dye-works, 200 km
northwest of Istanbul, near the Bulgarian border. And the readymade
clothing factory, Karsu Garments, is also located in Hadimköy.
Karsu Tekstil sees itself as a specialist. And, what is quite rare
in this line of business, Karsu, in cooperation with Lenzing, passes
its knowledge on to its customers. In Karsu Tekstil seminars,
customers are given tips on the processing of the yarn. Here Karsu
cloth production and ready-made clothing serve as a benchmark.
The important thing here is direct customer contact.
“As a yarn brand, Karsu is already very much in demand today,”
says Mustafa Molu, Chairman of the Board. 2005 will see

Karsu Tekstil produziert Ware für internationale Labels wie die
Camel Collection, Levi’s, Dockers und Newman und hat auch
eine eigene Marke mit dem Namen prima luce eingeführt.
Die Karsu Tekstil-Garne werden im Stammwerk nahe der Stadt
Kayseri, im Zentrum der Türkei, hergestellt, die Stoffe neben dem
Werk in Kayseri auch in Hadimköy, einem Vorort von Istanbul,
gewebt. Färben und Finishing erfolgen in der eigenen Färberei
des Konzerns, einem Joint Venture-Unternehmen 200 km nordwestlich
von Istanbul, nahe der bulgarischen Grenze. Auch die
Konfektionsfabrik, Karsu Garments, ist in Hadimköy angesiedelt.
Karsu Tekstil sieht sich als Spezialist. Eher selten in der Branche
– Karsu gibt sein Wissen in Kooperation mit Lenzing auch
an seine Kunden weiter. In den Karsu Tekstil-Seminaren erhalten
Kunden Tipps für die Verarbeitung der Garne; die Karsu-Stoffproduktion
und Konfektion dienen dabei als Benchmark. Wichtig
ist dabei der direkte Kundenkontakt.
