the Lenzing site will be in top
form, ecologically speaking.
Nach Abschluss der Projekte
wird sich die Ager ökologisch
in Bestform präsentieren.
TWICE THE ENERGY
Lenzing is planning two pioneering investments
in the energy supply for fiber and
pulp production at the Lenzing site and for
the surrounding municipality. Lenzing will
construct a new energy boiler that uses
thick liquor, a by-product of cellulose production,
as fuel. A total of EUR 43 mill. will
be invested in the project.
The second project will optimize three small
Lenzing-owned hydroelectric power plants.
A fourth, privately owned plant, is also included
in the project. Electricity generation
will almost double and the Ager river’s water
quality will improve. In total, EUR eight
mill. will be invested in the project.

Am Standort Lenzing sind zwei wegweisende
Investitionen in die Energieversorgung
der Faser- und Zellstoffproduktion
und der umliegenden Gemeinden geplant.
Die Lenzing AG wird um 43 Mio. EUR
einen neuen Laugenkessel errichten. Als
Brennstoff wird Dicklauge, ein Nebenprodukt
der Zellstofferzeugung, eingesetzt.
Beim zweiten Projekt werden drei kleine
Flusskraftwerke der Lenzing AG gemeinsam
mit einem vierten privaten Klein-Kraftwerk,
optimiert. Die Stromerzeugung wird dadurch
fast verdoppelt, die Wasserqualität
der Ager weiter verbessert. In das Projekt
werden acht Mio. EUR investiert.
