The FEM Parliament
23rd CADFEM Users´ Meeting
An extra-ordinary session of the FEM Parliament will take place
this year in the city of Bonn on the Rhine, birthplace of Beethoven,
and, from 1949 to 1990, Capital of the Federal Republic of
Germany. The former assembly room of the German Bundestag,
where important political fi gures like Konrad Adenauer, Willy
Brandt, Helmut Schmidt, and Helmut Kohl must surely have had
to “simulate” at times to convince delegates about their points
of view, will host the largest annual conference on analysis and
simulation in Europe.
The main topic on the agenda will be the numerical analysis of the
laws of physics. Lecturers will base their presentations mainly on
reports about extraordinary engineering skills and achievements,
often using the ANSYS, LS-DYNA, CFX, ICEM CFD, Diffpack,
OptiSLang, VPS, FTI and Moldfl ow programs.

During plenum sessions and committee meetings dealing with
different application areas of simulation (for more detailed
information, please refer to the “Conference Sessions / Program
Overview”), delegates of the CAE Party from industry and
research will report on how they requested, and achieved, a vote
