5.1.1 Reader Side Panel Layout<br />

The side panel contains the status LEDs. The following paragraphs describe these<br />

items in detail.<br />

5.1.2 Switches and LEDs<br />

The “POWER” SWITCH –has three states (OFF, ON, INITIALIZE<br />

BATTERY/MOMENTARY). The INITIALIZE position is a temporary position used to<br />

reconnect the battery if the unit battery has been completely drained. To INITIALIZE<br />

the Reader, depress the switch to the ON position.<br />

When using the unit, ensure that the mobileMOSFET is in the ON state and the<br />

green LED is flashing. The ON position is with the switch depressed to I, and the<br />

OFF position is with the switch depressed to O (please see Figure 5-3: Model TN-<br />

RD-70-W Back Panel).<br />

The “WIRELESS” LED – is a blue indicator that signals if the<br />

mobileMOSFET Reader is currently connected to a PC via a <strong>wireless</strong><br />

transmitter.<br />

The “POWER” LED – is also a green indicator that signals that the<br />

unit is turned on.<br />

The “TRICKLE” LED – is a green indicator that the unit is currently in<br />

trickle charge.<br />

The “FAST” LED – is a red indicator that signals the unit is currently in<br />

a fast charge.<br />
