TEAM INTER HUNT RELAY &
TURNOUT COMPETITION
FRIDAY 17th MAY
TEAM QUALIFICATION
All teams will be required to parade if requested. This will be followed by the
Turnout Judging and the Relay Competition, which takes place over fences of
Working Hunter type in the Matford Arable Ring.
Each team must consist of four people, two mounted, two on foot, including:-
◆ One Master or Professional Hunt Servant
◆ One person over 45 years of age
◆ At least one member of the opposite sex must form part of the team
(One member of the team may represent more than one qualification, i.e. a Master,
aged over 45 and a member of the opposite sex, would allow the other members
of the team to be chosen from any other regular followers).
All team members must - in the judgement of the Hunt Committee - have hunted
regularly with the Hunt they represent either mounted or un-mounted and must be
a subscriber to the Hunt or be a member of the Hunt Supporters Club during the
2012/2013 season. Every member of the team must be a member of the
Countryside Alliance. All team members must be 14 years old or over on the day
of the Show.
The fences will be of Working Hunter type. The two courses will be set side by side
and may either be identical or be built as mirror images of each other. The courses
will consist of approximately six fences of a maximum height of 3 feet for the
mounted team members. The members on foot will follow a slightly different
obstacle course!
