When jumping in the arena, practice arena or the collecting ring all riders must wear<br />

protective headgear, according to the current approved BSI or European Standard.<br />

Skullcaps must be worn with a dark coloured plain peaked cover.<br />

<strong>Horses</strong> may wear protective boots, of a plain colour, for the jumping phase only; no weighted<br />

boots are permitted; no change of tack is permitted between jumping and flat phases. Jumps<br />

will not exceed 2’9” in height and 2’9” spread. Stepping back at any obstacle on the course<br />

will be counted as a refusal.<br />

This class is a qualifier for the 2013 Osborne Refrigerators BDS National Championships.<br />

The highest placed turnout owned and driven by a member of the British Driving Society and<br />

eligible for the following Type-Sections disregarding those already qualified down to 6th<br />

place (10th place for type-sections (o) - (r)) in the class will qualify for the 2013 Semi-Finals.<br />

The Championship will immediately follow the Semi-Finals.<br />

Type-section =<br />

b) Single non-hackney-type (excluding purebred Registered Welsh) over 13.2hh.<br />

c) Single non-hackney-type (excluding purebred Registered Welsh) - 13.2hh & under.<br />

o) Single turnout driven to a traditional type vehicle by a young driver aged 10-14 years.<br />

p) Single turnout driven to a traditional type vehicle by a young driver aged 15-17 years.<br />

This class is a Victoria Food Company Open Private Driving Championship Qualifier. The<br />

winner to qualify for the Grand Final, to be held on Sunday 15th September 2013, at the<br />

Hand Equestrian Centre, Clevedon, Somerset. In the event that the winner has already<br />

qualified then the second to qualify. If the second has also qualified, the rosette to be<br />

awarded to the winner. Once qualified, the horse, whip and vehicle may not be changed.<br />

760 Private Driving Class Open, for <strong>Horses</strong> and Ponies, 4 years old or over to be driven<br />

Single, Pair or Tandem to a suitable vehicle. Commercial vehicles and hackney show<br />

wagons are not allowed.<br />

If sufficient entries are forward the class will be divided into 13.2hh and under and over<br />

13.2hh. The British Driving Society will award Champion and Reserve Champion Rosettes<br />

to the winners.<br />
