SHOW JUMPING RULES AND REGULATIONS<br />

Entries are confined to registered horses ridden in accordance with British <strong>Show</strong>jumping Rule 79. Prize<br />

Money will be awarded in accordance with British <strong>Show</strong>jumping Rule 76.6.<br />

1. ENTRIES: Entries Close on Wednesday 24 April 2013. Faxed or e-mailed entries will NOT be<br />

accepted. Should classes be over-subscribed, the <strong>Show</strong> reserves the right to ballot.<br />

2. ARRIVAL: Exhibitors must enter the <strong>Show</strong>ground by the Blue Gate. All horses must be on the<br />

<strong>Show</strong>ground at least one hour before the advertised time of their classes.<br />

THE BLUE GATE WILL BE OPEN BETWEEN 0600 HOURS AND 2000 HOURS ON SHOW DAYS<br />

AND BETWEEN 1400 AND 2000 ON WEDNESDAY 15TH MAY 2013.<br />

For <strong>Devon</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Show</strong> follow the road signs for “Westpoint”.<br />

3. BRITISH SHOWJUMPING RULES: All Jumping Competitions will be judged under Rules approved<br />

by the British <strong>Show</strong>jumping. Entries are confined to horses registered with British <strong>Show</strong>jumping and<br />

must be ridden by members in accordance with British <strong>Show</strong>jumping Rule 79.<br />

4. PAYMENT OF ENTRY FEES: All entry fees are payable at the time of entry. The entry fee will not<br />

be refunded for horses, which do not jump except in accordance with British <strong>Show</strong>jumping Rule 79.4.<br />

5. PRIZE MONEY: Prize Money will be awarded in accordance with British <strong>Show</strong>jumping Rule 76.6.<br />

6. DECLARATION: Declarations should be made at the Horse Office, not less than one hour before the<br />

Class is scheduled to commence. To make a substitution a current valid registration card MUST be<br />

produced without fail.<br />

7. Tickets. Vehicle passes are ONLY for use on horseboxes or vehicles containing equine exhibits. The<br />

vehicle pass does not admit the driver, every person will need a badge. Admission tickets for additional<br />

guests can be purchased prior to the <strong>Show</strong> at reduced rates.<br />

8. Residential Vehicles. Permits for vehicles/caravans used solely as living quarters are available for a<br />

reserved area just outside the <strong>Show</strong>ground perimeter in the Green Car Park at £35.00 each inc. VAT.<br />

Tickets must be purchased in advance.<br />

9. Private Cars. Any vehicle wishing to gain entry to Blue Park and not carrying horses or ponies can<br />

only do so under the deposit system as outlined below.<br />
