SHOW JUMPING RULES AND REGULATIONS
Entries are confined to registered horses ridden in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79. Prize
Money will be awarded in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 76.6.
1. ENTRIES: Entries Close on Wednesday 24 April 2013. Faxed or e-mailed entries will NOT be
accepted. Should classes be over-subscribed, the Show reserves the right to ballot.
2. ARRIVAL: Exhibitors must enter the Showground by the Blue Gate. All horses must be on the
Showground at least one hour before the advertised time of their classes.
THE BLUE GATE WILL BE OPEN BETWEEN 0600 HOURS AND 2000 HOURS ON SHOW DAYS
AND BETWEEN 1400 AND 2000 ON WEDNESDAY 15TH MAY 2013.
For Devon County Show follow the road signs for “Westpoint”.
3. BRITISH SHOWJUMPING RULES: All Jumping Competitions will be judged under Rules approved
by the British Showjumping. Entries are confined to horses registered with British Showjumping and
must be ridden by members in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79.
4. PAYMENT OF ENTRY FEES: All entry fees are payable at the time of entry. The entry fee will not
be refunded for horses, which do not jump except in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79.4.
5. PRIZE MONEY: Prize Money will be awarded in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 76.6.
6. DECLARATION: Declarations should be made at the Horse Office, not less than one hour before the
Class is scheduled to commence. To make a substitution a current valid registration card MUST be
produced without fail.
7. Tickets. Vehicle passes are ONLY for use on horseboxes or vehicles containing equine exhibits. The
vehicle pass does not admit the driver, every person will need a badge. Admission tickets for additional
guests can be purchased prior to the Show at reduced rates.
8. Residential Vehicles. Permits for vehicles/caravans used solely as living quarters are available for a
reserved area just outside the Showground perimeter in the Green Car Park at £35.00 each inc. VAT.
Tickets must be purchased in advance.
9. Private Cars. Any vehicle wishing to gain entry to Blue Park and not carrying horses or ponies can
only do so under the deposit system as outlined below.
