CLASSES 700-705 – MOLE VALLEY FARMERS MAIN ARENA
Classes 701 to 705 & 707 are Qualifying events for the Royal International Horse Show.
Classes 701 to 705 only are qualifiers for the National Hunter Supreme Championship Show
(NHSCS). Only horses registered on the 2013 Show Hunter Register are eligible to enter.
Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms and owners and riders must be
members of SHB(GB) (see Reg.36).
The two highest placed horses in each class will qualify to enter at the RIHS. No horse lower
than second will qualify. The three highest placed horses in each class will qualify for the
NHSCS. No horse lower than third will qualify.
All qualifying entries for the RIHS must be delivered or sent on or before the closing date,
together with the amount of entry fees and the charges for stabling required.
There is no need for competitors to telephone our office within 24 hours of qualification to
state their intention to enter as in the past - just send in their entries direct to the RIHS
Office!
LOCAL HUNTERS
700 Confined to Owners and Riders who are bona fide residents in the County of
Devon, Gelding or Mare, not having won a prize exceeding £25 as a ridden hunter
at the closing date of entry. All Exhibitors must wear uniform, hunting costume or
appropriate hats and coats. Failure to comply may involve elimination. Entries do not
have to be registered with SHB(GB).
LIGHTWEIGHT HUNTERS
701 Gelding or Mare, Four years old and over, capable of carrying up to 79.5kgs
(12stone 7lbs). (If the Judge considers that any exhibit in this class is up to more than
the specified weight, he may transfer such exhibit to the Middleweight or
Heavyweight classes).
SMALL HUNTERS
702 Gelding or Mare, Four years old or over, to exceed 148cm (approx.14.2hh) but not
exceeding 158cm (approx.15.2hh).
MIDDLEWEIGHT HUNTERS
703 Gelding or Mare, Four years old or over, capable of carrying 79.5kgs (12stone 7lbs)
and not exceeding 89kgs (14stone). (If the Judge considers that any exhibit in this
class is up to more than the specified weight he may transfer such exhibit to the
Heavyweight class).
