Classes 708-712 - NSR COMMUNICATIONS RING<br />

Sport Horse Breeding requires all exhibits in these classes to be registered with them to<br />

compete in this section (See Reg 36). Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms.<br />

Entries in these classes may not be entered in the Hunter Breeding and Hack Breeding<br />

Classes and vice versa.<br />

ALL FOALS MUST BE AT LEAST THREE WEEKS OLD<br />

ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW.<br />

708 Filly, Colt or Gelding, Yearling foaled 2012, not exceeding 158cms (approx. 15.2hh)<br />

at maturity.<br />

709 Filly, Colt or Gelding, Two years old, foaled 2011, not to exceed 158cm (approx.<br />

15.2hh) at maturity.<br />

710 Filly, Colt or Gelding, Three years old, foaled 2010, to exceed 148cm<br />

(approx.14.2hh) but not to exceed 158cm (approx.15.2hh) at maturity.<br />

711 Brood Mare, Four years old and over, exceeding 148cm (approx.14.2hh) but not<br />

exceeding 158cm (approx.15.2hh) with foal at foot or relevant certificate of<br />

pregnancy for the following year, which may be inspected at the <strong>Show</strong>. (see Reg.20)<br />

Mares which have not yet foaled or that have lost their foals are eligible to enter with<br />

a relevant certificate of service that may be inspected at the <strong>Show</strong>. Mares entered in<br />

this class with a foal at foot must have their foals entered in Class 712. Mares could<br />

be measured on the day of the <strong>Show</strong> by an appointed official, unless in possession<br />

of a current JMB Height Certificate.<br />

712 Foal, all foals must be at least three weeks old on the day of the <strong>Show</strong>.<br />

Champion & Special Prizes<br />

H20 Champion Small Hunter. <strong>Devon</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Show</strong> Rosette and the Mairmorne Conundrum<br />

Perpetual Challenge Trophy offered by Mrs P Jackson (Ref 159) and a SPWA Qualifying Card.<br />

Winner in 2012 - Mr J K Frost.<br />

H21 Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain offer one Premium of £100 in Class 711. The Premium<br />

will be awarded at the Judge’s discretion to any mare gaining a prize in this class. It will take the<br />

form of a Service Voucher to be used towards the covering of the mare by any SHB(GB)<br />

Graded or Life Approved Stallion in 2014/2015. The owner must be or become a fully paid up<br />

member. Only one award per year can be accepted. Premiums will only be awarded if there are<br />

a minimum of three mares forward per class.<br />

H22 The Langaller Farm Brood Mare Premium Award. This takes the form of a rosette and a<br />

voucher worth £75 awarded to the highest placed Brood Mare in Class 711 and is redeemable<br />

against any stud fee for a stallion standing at Langaller Farm during the current or following stud<br />

season. Only one award per mare per season. Where the winning mare has already won a<br />

voucher in the current year, the award goes to the next highest placed eligible mare.<br />

H23 The Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) will award Special Incentive Cards to the highest placed<br />

Pure or Part Bred Irish Draught exhibit in Classes 708-712. All exhibits must be registered or<br />

identified with the IDHS(GB) on either their Pure Bred or Sport Horse Register.<br />

Registration/Identification number should be stated on the entry form.<br />
