Classes 708-712 - NSR COMMUNICATIONS RING
Sport Horse Breeding requires all exhibits in these classes to be registered with them to
compete in this section (See Reg 36). Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms.
Entries in these classes may not be entered in the Hunter Breeding and Hack Breeding
Classes and vice versa.
ALL FOALS MUST BE AT LEAST THREE WEEKS OLD
ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW.
708 Filly, Colt or Gelding, Yearling foaled 2012, not exceeding 158cms (approx. 15.2hh)
at maturity.
709 Filly, Colt or Gelding, Two years old, foaled 2011, not to exceed 158cm (approx.
15.2hh) at maturity.
710 Filly, Colt or Gelding, Three years old, foaled 2010, to exceed 148cm
(approx.14.2hh) but not to exceed 158cm (approx.15.2hh) at maturity.
711 Brood Mare, Four years old and over, exceeding 148cm (approx.14.2hh) but not
exceeding 158cm (approx.15.2hh) with foal at foot or relevant certificate of
pregnancy for the following year, which may be inspected at the Show. (see Reg.20)
Mares which have not yet foaled or that have lost their foals are eligible to enter with
a relevant certificate of service that may be inspected at the Show. Mares entered in
this class with a foal at foot must have their foals entered in Class 712. Mares could
be measured on the day of the Show by an appointed official, unless in possession
of a current JMB Height Certificate.
712 Foal, all foals must be at least three weeks old on the day of the Show.
Champion & Special Prizes
H20 Champion Small Hunter. Devon County Show Rosette and the Mairmorne Conundrum
Perpetual Challenge Trophy offered by Mrs P Jackson (Ref 159) and a SPWA Qualifying Card.
Winner in 2012 - Mr J K Frost.
H21 Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain offer one Premium of £100 in Class 711. The Premium
will be awarded at the Judge’s discretion to any mare gaining a prize in this class. It will take the
form of a Service Voucher to be used towards the covering of the mare by any SHB(GB)
Graded or Life Approved Stallion in 2014/2015. The owner must be or become a fully paid up
member. Only one award per year can be accepted. Premiums will only be awarded if there are
a minimum of three mares forward per class.
H22 The Langaller Farm Brood Mare Premium Award. This takes the form of a rosette and a
voucher worth £75 awarded to the highest placed Brood Mare in Class 711 and is redeemable
against any stud fee for a stallion standing at Langaller Farm during the current or following stud
season. Only one award per mare per season. Where the winning mare has already won a
voucher in the current year, the award goes to the next highest placed eligible mare.
H23 The Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) will award Special Incentive Cards to the highest placed
Pure or Part Bred Irish Draught exhibit in Classes 708-712. All exhibits must be registered or
identified with the IDHS(GB) on either their Pure Bred or Sport Horse Register.
Registration/Identification number should be stated on the entry form.
