DEVON COUNTY SHOW 2013<br />
GENERAL REGULATIONS FOR<br />
HORSES AND PONIES<br />
IT IS A REQUIREMENT OF ENTRY THAT THE RULES AND REGULATIONS<br />
ARE READ AND ADHERED TO.<br />
1 Entry Forms. Entry forms for the <strong>Show</strong> can be obtained from the Equestrian Co-ordinators, <strong>Devon</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> <strong>Show</strong>, Westpoint, Clyst St Mary, Exeter EX5 1DJ. No entry will be accepted unless on the<br />
prescribed form which must be accompanied by the correct entry fees.<br />
Telephone and Fax entries are not accepted.<br />
2 Entries. An animal can be exhibited in any number of classes provided rules do not prohibit, it is<br />
otherwise eligible and the additional fees are remitted with the entry form by the closing date.<br />
3 Closing Date of Entries. Entries will close on the following dates:<br />
<strong>Horses</strong>: Wednesday 27 March 2013<br />
Private Driving: Wednesday 27 March 2013<br />
Concours D’Elegance: Wednesday 27 March 2013<br />
<strong>Show</strong> Jumping: Wednesday 24 April 2013<br />
Inter-Hunt Relay: Wednesday 24 April 2013 (see separate schedule)<br />
Entries must be received in the <strong>Devon</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Show</strong> Office<br />
ON OR BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES.<br />
ENTRIES RECEIVED AFTER THE CLOSING DATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.<br />
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU POST YOUR ENTRY IN<br />
PLENTY OF TIME AND USE FIRST CLASS POST.<br />
4 Entry Fees. Entry fees for Members and Non-Members are clearly explained on page 00 of this<br />
schedule. For a Member to exhibit under Members’ privileges, he/she must have paid his/her<br />
subscription for 2012 - 2013. Details of Membership of the <strong>Devon</strong> <strong>County</strong> Agricultural Association are<br />
given at the end of this schedule. Cheques must be made payable to “DCAA” and only the Association’s<br />
official acknowledgement/receipt will be recognised.<br />
5 Refund of Entry Fees. Entry Fees will only be refunded in the event of cancellation of classes or a<br />
Ministry Order prohibiting the exhibition of animals at the <strong>Devon</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Show</strong>. Applications for refunds<br />
must be received in writing by the <strong>Devon</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Show</strong> Secretary no later than fourteen days after the<br />
first day of the <strong>Show</strong> and must be accompanied by a Veterinary Certificate or Ministry Order.<br />
To be considered for a refund all badges and passes MUST be returned un-used to the <strong>Show</strong> Office<br />
prior to the start of the <strong>Devon</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Show</strong>.<br />
The entry fee is not refundable if an animal is entered in a class for which it is not eligible or not<br />
registered or for entries which are withdrawn after the closing date has expired.<br />
6 Ticket Allocation. Admission and vehicle passes are issued as follows:<br />
1 Horse/Pony = 2 badges<br />
2 <strong>Horses</strong>/Ponies = 3 badges<br />
Thereafter - 1 additional badge per additional horse<br />
THE VEHICLE PASS DOES NOT ADMIT THE DRIVER.<br />
EACH PERSON IN THE VEHICLE WILL NEED A BADGE.<br />
21
