GENERAL REGULATIONS FOR
HORSES AND PONIES
IT IS A REQUIREMENT OF ENTRY THAT THE RULES AND REGULATIONS
ARE READ AND ADHERED TO.
1 Entry Forms. Entry forms for the Show can be obtained from the Equestrian Co-ordinators, Devon
County Show, Westpoint, Clyst St Mary, Exeter EX5 1DJ. No entry will be accepted unless on the
prescribed form which must be accompanied by the correct entry fees.
Telephone and Fax entries are not accepted.
2 Entries. An animal can be exhibited in any number of classes provided rules do not prohibit, it is
otherwise eligible and the additional fees are remitted with the entry form by the closing date.
3 Closing Date of Entries. Entries will close on the following dates:
Horses: Wednesday 27 March 2013
Private Driving: Wednesday 27 March 2013
Concours D’Elegance: Wednesday 27 March 2013
Show Jumping: Wednesday 24 April 2013
Inter-Hunt Relay: Wednesday 24 April 2013 (see separate schedule)
Entries must be received in the Devon County Show Office
ON OR BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES.
ENTRIES RECEIVED AFTER THE CLOSING DATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU POST YOUR ENTRY IN
PLENTY OF TIME AND USE FIRST CLASS POST.
4 Entry Fees. Entry fees for Members and Non-Members are clearly explained on page 00 of this
schedule. For a Member to exhibit under Members’ privileges, he/she must have paid his/her
subscription for 2012 - 2013. Details of Membership of the Devon County Agricultural Association are
given at the end of this schedule. Cheques must be made payable to “DCAA” and only the Association’s
official acknowledgement/receipt will be recognised.
5 Refund of Entry Fees. Entry Fees will only be refunded in the event of cancellation of classes or a
Ministry Order prohibiting the exhibition of animals at the Devon County Show. Applications for refunds
must be received in writing by the Devon County Show Secretary no later than fourteen days after the
first day of the Show and must be accompanied by a Veterinary Certificate or Ministry Order.
To be considered for a refund all badges and passes MUST be returned un-used to the Show Office
prior to the start of the Devon County Show.
The entry fee is not refundable if an animal is entered in a class for which it is not eligible or not
registered or for entries which are withdrawn after the closing date has expired.
6 Ticket Allocation. Admission and vehicle passes are issued as follows:
1 Horse/Pony = 2 badges
2 Horses/Ponies = 3 badges
Thereafter - 1 additional badge per additional horse
THE VEHICLE PASS DOES NOT ADMIT THE DRIVER.
EACH PERSON IN THE VEHICLE WILL NEED A BADGE.
