CLASSES 856-860 - NATWEST RING<br />

This <strong>Show</strong> is affiliated to the British <strong>Show</strong> Pony Society (20/13). Ponies must be registered<br />

with the BSPS and registration numbers stated on the entry form (see Reg. 36).Owners and<br />

Riders must be BSPS Members.<br />

This is a Qualifying <strong>Show</strong> for the BSPS Championships held at Arena UK and the 1st and<br />

2nd prize-winners (if eligible) will qualify from classes 856-858 and 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizewinners<br />

(if eligible) from Class 859 to compete thereat, provided that the ponies are owned<br />

and registered by BSPS <strong>Show</strong>ing members and ridden by BSPS members. The 1st, 2nd,<br />

3rd and 4th prize-winners (if eligible) in Class 860 can qualify provided that the ponies are<br />

owned and registered by BSPS <strong>Show</strong>ing members and ridden by BSPS members in<br />

accordance with Rule 23.<br />

Classes 856-859 are qualifying classes for the Royal International Horse <strong>Show</strong>. Pony<br />

Owners and riders must be registered in accordance with Rules 22 & 523. Classes 856-859<br />

are qualifying classes for the BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year.<br />

BSPS CLASSIC SECURITY UK LTD CHALLENGE<br />

The highest placed pony that has not qualified for the 2013 Horse of the Year <strong>Show</strong> in the<br />

appropriate class, will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the “BSPS<br />

Challenge”, the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony.<br />

If after qualifying a pony qualifies for the HOYS it will forfeit it’s qualification for the “BSPS<br />

Challenge”.<br />

The Best Rider in each of the following Open Classes at all BSPS Affiliated <strong>Show</strong>s will be<br />

awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the ‘Black Country Saddles’ Rider of the Year at<br />

the Summer Championships <strong>Show</strong>:- 133, 143 & 153 Working Hunter Pony Classes.<br />

Working Hunter Pony Competitors must declare at the NatWest Commentary Box one hour<br />

before the start time of the first class.<br />

856 BSPS Mare or Gelding, Four years old and over, not exceeding 133cm (13hh),<br />

riders not to have attained their 14th birthday before the 1 January in the current year.<br />

857 BSPS Mare or Gelding, Four years old and over, exceeding 133cm (13hh) but not<br />

to exceed 143cm (14hh), riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before the 1<br />

January in the current year.<br />

858 BSPS Mare or Gelding, Four years old and over, exceeding 143cm (14hh) but not<br />

to exceed 153cm (15hh), riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before the 1<br />

January in the current year.<br />
