CLASSES 856-860 - NATWEST RING
This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (20/13). Ponies must be registered
with the BSPS and registration numbers stated on the entry form (see Reg. 36).Owners and
Riders must be BSPS Members.
This is a Qualifying Show for the BSPS Championships held at Arena UK and the 1st and
2nd prize-winners (if eligible) will qualify from classes 856-858 and 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizewinners
(if eligible) from Class 859 to compete thereat, provided that the ponies are owned
and registered by BSPS Showing members and ridden by BSPS members. The 1st, 2nd,
3rd and 4th prize-winners (if eligible) in Class 860 can qualify provided that the ponies are
owned and registered by BSPS Showing members and ridden by BSPS members in
accordance with Rule 23.
Classes 856-859 are qualifying classes for the Royal International Horse Show. Pony
Owners and riders must be registered in accordance with Rules 22 & 523. Classes 856-859
are qualifying classes for the BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year.
BSPS CLASSIC SECURITY UK LTD CHALLENGE
The highest placed pony that has not qualified for the 2013 Horse of the Year Show in the
appropriate class, will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the “BSPS
Challenge”, the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony.
If after qualifying a pony qualifies for the HOYS it will forfeit it’s qualification for the “BSPS
Challenge”.
The Best Rider in each of the following Open Classes at all BSPS Affiliated Shows will be
awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the ‘Black Country Saddles’ Rider of the Year at
the Summer Championships Show:- 133, 143 & 153 Working Hunter Pony Classes.
Working Hunter Pony Competitors must declare at the NatWest Commentary Box one hour
before the start time of the first class.
856 BSPS Mare or Gelding, Four years old and over, not exceeding 133cm (13hh),
riders not to have attained their 14th birthday before the 1 January in the current year.
857 BSPS Mare or Gelding, Four years old and over, exceeding 133cm (13hh) but not
to exceed 143cm (14hh), riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before the 1
January in the current year.
858 BSPS Mare or Gelding, Four years old and over, exceeding 143cm (14hh) but not
to exceed 153cm (15hh), riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before the 1
January in the current year.
