You should not change the following settings without a good reason,<br />
as they are factory settings or operating settings that are tailored to<br />
your reception system.<br />
New settings are only required if the reception system is changed or<br />
expanded.<br />
Select the “Installation” menu with the button, the buttons in<br />
the main menu and . If a password has been stored, you must<br />
enter it. Use the buttons to select the further items.<br />
The first submenu is the “LNB Configuration”. Press to open it.<br />
You should not normally make any changes in this submenu.<br />
Before making any changes, however, you should make a note of the<br />
settings in the form provided at the end of this manual. Your receiver<br />
is preset at the factory to the satellites of the ASTRA and HOTBIRD<br />
systems.<br />
The other basic settings are shown in the screenshot above.<br />
<strong>Sat</strong>ellite reception systems consist of a parabolic antenna attached to<br />
the actual reception system (LNB - Low Noise Blockconverter or<br />
LNC - Low Noise Converter), which converts the RF signal from the<br />
satellite into a lower frequency that can be processed by a satellite<br />
receiver.<br />
The satellite transmission frequencies are located in the following<br />
ranges:<br />
10.7-11.7 GHz Low band<br />
11.7-12.75 GHz High band
