User’s Manual - <strong>mediaMAX</strong> <strong>MINI</strong><br />

The impulse response function allows monitoring the carrier power distribution during a period of<br />

time, while the frequency response function allows monitoring the digital C/N of each one of the<br />

DVB-T carriers.<br />

In order to access to the tools of DVB-T, press key 8 “tool” and select “DVB T” option.<br />

A new menu with the following tools will appear:<br />

17.4.1 Monitor mode<br />

This menu option is a screen of measures. It shows some additional measures of the digital terrestrial<br />

television signal.<br />

The additional measures are:<br />

Guard interval<br />

Mode: bearer number<br />

HRCH: Hierarchy<br />

Cell Id: Parameter about operators.<br />

17.4.2. Frequency response<br />

The frequency response function allows monitoring the digital C/N levels for each DVB-T carrier.<br />

In fact the echoes can also be seen with the frequency response, but the interpretation is different.<br />

The EDM feature shows the interference level that is produced by an ECHO in the tuned multiplex.<br />
