GYPSY #TP121<br />

Named for the Gypsies who live in Russia, this is one of the<br />

deepest, purplest, maroon tomatoes we have ever grown. It has<br />

a gorgeous color and good taste. Perfect, medium-sized globe<br />

fruit make this one of the nicest dark varieties. A lovely and<br />

colorful introduction from the great Soviet plant breeders. Pkt<br />

JAPANESE BLACK TRIFELE #TP107<br />

80-90 days. Attractive tomatoes are the shape and size of a<br />

Bartlett pear, with a beautiful purplish-brick color. The fruit are<br />

perfect and smooth with no cracks. The flavor is absolutely<br />

sublime, having all the richness of fine chocolate. This was<br />

our heaviest producer for 2004. The plants produced loads<br />

of fruit all summer long. It has become a favorite with many<br />

seed savers, and we are glad to be able to offer such a colorful<br />

variety that is believed to have come from Russia... Don’t ask<br />

MORADO #TP113<br />

85 days. This very rare tomato produces delicious 1 lb fruit<br />

that are dark purplish-pink in color, with green shoulders.<br />

The plants have excellent production, and fruit is uniform<br />

and crack resistant. Another great-tasting “black” tomato that<br />

should be a good variety for the market grower. Pkt $2.25<br />

NYAGOUS #TP109<br />

90 days. A wonderful, dark-colored ‘cluster tomato’ that<br />

produces perfect globe-shaped fruit that have smooth<br />

shoulders and are borne in clusters of 3-6 tomatoes! They are<br />

aromatic and have sweet, meaty flesh that has a rich taste.<br />

Another tomato that is superb for marketing and a must for<br />

every garden; simply lovely. This variety came to the USA<br />

from our friend, Reinhard Kraft, of Germany. Pkt $2.25<br />

PAUL ROBESON #TP110<br />

90 days. This famous tomato has almost a cult following<br />

among seed collectors and tomato connoisseurs, who<br />

simply cannot get enough of this variety’s amazing flavor<br />

that is so distinctive, sweet, and smoky. 7 to 10-oz fruit are a<br />

black-brick color. Named in honor of the famous black opera<br />

singer, star of King Solomon’s Mines, 1937. Paul Robeson,<br />

an American, was also a Russian Equal Rights Advocate for<br />

Blacks. This Russian variety was lovingly named in his honor.<br />

PIERCE’S PRIDE #TP111<br />

90 days. A stabilized cross that was selected by our seed<br />

grower, Larry Pierce. Medium-sized fruit are very flavorful and<br />

rich. They are nicely shaped, deep, dark black-red in color. This<br />

is certainly one of our tastiest tomatoes. Pkt $2.50<br />
