In order to further analyze this huge change that was<br />

wrongly introduced in the liturgical reform we should include<br />

here the part of the “Mediator Dei” that specifically covers<br />

this issue, which is a dogmatic issue, to emphasize the “Modernist<br />

errors” made by the Second <strong>Vatican</strong> Council!<br />

This is the text about the “participation of the people in<br />

the Eucharistic Sacrifice”:<br />

«It is necessary, Venerable Brethren, to clearly explain<br />

to your flock how the fact that faithful take<br />

part in the Eucharistic Sacrifice does not mean that<br />

they will enjoy priestly powers. There are some in<br />

our time who, approaching errors that have already<br />

been condemned, teach that the New Testament<br />

only recognizes one priesthood, that is the<br />

responsibility of all those who have been christened,<br />

and that the precept given by Jesus to the<br />

Apostles during the Last Supper to do what He<br />

had done refers directly to all Christians, and only<br />

then comes hierarchical priesthood. They say that<br />

only the people have true priestly powers, whereas<br />

the priest is commissioned by the community.<br />

In consequence, they state that the Eucharistic<br />

Sacrifice is a true and real “co-celebration” and<br />

it is better for the priests to “co-celebrate” together<br />

with the people, rather than offering the<br />
