This too is patently contrary to Divine Revelation, which<br />
prescribes “separation” as well as rejects the mixing «of the<br />
light and dark, between the faithful and unbelievers, between<br />
the temple of God and that of sects.» (<strong>II</strong> Cor. 6, 14-<br />
18)<br />
Therefore, this pan-christian Council of the new millenium<br />
would be in stark contrast with the previous two millenia<br />
preceeding it, dividing factions opposed to Christianity.<br />
Now, one notes in reading the April 22, 2001 document<br />
“Charta Oecumenica” that it might as well be a declaration<br />
by any political group with a series of good proposals, elaborated<br />
over the last century and a half, in a sort of “traditionalism”<br />
of retrograde ideas, despite the fact that there is an<br />
official Church document to compare to the teachings of the<br />
previous Church, in terms of doctrine and of morality.<br />
In the introduction, it is states that:<br />
«all the Churches» are committed to «the Gospel<br />
for the dignity of the human being, created in<br />
the image of God, to contribute together as<br />
churches of reconciliation of peoples and cultures.»<br />
This would involve a committment of “all the Churches,”<br />
that is, of those structures which over the last half a millenium<br />
spread all over Europe, starting in the 1300’s, demolishing<br />
Christianity and the religion of God. Modern culture,<br />
therefore, is the sum of all this dissolution and ruin. Without<br />
a return to God therefore, human dignity cannot rise<br />
again.<br />
At the beginning of the document, we are called again<br />
to follow in St. John’s footsteps, in which Our Lord prays to<br />
the Father that all the disciples be one “like you, Father, you<br />
in Me and I in Thee.” The Evangelical Declaration was presented<br />
for signing by all of the Churches present, almost as if<br />
