Gareth Lewis has been
promoted to the newly
created role of General
Manager Great Britain (GB)
& Region Head of Northern
Europe for construction
products manufacturer, Hilti.
The position, which replaces and
expands on the preceding Managing
Director’s role, will see him initiate a
new hub that will be responsible for
sales, marketing and purchasing across
several countries, including GB, Ireland,
Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Lewis, who joined Hilti in 1999,
previously held the title of General
Manager South in North America. Prior
to that he held senior positions for the
company in the USA, Europe and GB.

with Northern European countries,
it makes eminent sense to have the

in this country,” said Lewis.

SPeeDy appoints Mcintyre to
lead expansion into new markets
Steve McIntyre joins Speedy following
a five-year spell as marketing director
for PPG Architectural Coatings (owner
of the Johnstone’s and Leyland paint
brands) and having previously headed
up the marketing team at French utility
giant Gaz de France (GDF Suez).
Before studying marketing strategy at
Chicago North Western University’s
Kellogg Institute in 2001, Steve worked
in an international marketing role in the
oil and gas sector for almost twenty
years, which included several years in
the Middle Eastern Gulf States.
Speedy’s chief executive Steve
Corcoran stated that McIntyre’s
wealth of experience made him the
ideal choice to lead the FTSE-listed
firm’s continuing expansion into
industries outside its core client base
in construction and into related support
services, as well as its presence in the
Middle East.

equipment hire firm to become a
leading business to business support
services company within the UK
construction sector and are now
establishing ourselves as a provider
of choice to major asset owners in
industries like infrastructure, energy
and facilities management.

operational level will make him a huge
asset to the business.”
Commenting on his appointment, Steve
