BBCel achieve million man
hours without a RiDDoR
The Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald Area 2
team have reached a major milestone in their
journey to Zero Harm having recently completed
one million man hours on the project without
a reportable (RIDDOR) accident. The entire
project team has worked extremely hard in
driving the project commitment to ‘Make Safety
Personal’ and striving to achieve the Zero Harm
goals.
Costain are tops in graduate
training
The Association of Graduate Recruiters
(AGR) has named Costain the winner of the
Best Graduate Development title in its 2010
awards. The latest award followed on from
the AGR naming the Group top of two subcategories
- strategic alignment and graduate
inductions - in the field earlier in the year. That
was enough for Costain to outpace seven major
organisations including Barclays, Boots and
PriceWaterhouseCooper to the overall prize.
mtrack service hot off the
mark
The effectiveness of the mtrack tracker service
was ably demonstrated in July, with four
customers reporting assets stolen in just two
days. The mtrack protected assets included
two large items of plant equipment, a quad bike
and a rare Ferrari, all found within hours. The
tracking success reinforces mtrack’s reputation
as the world’s leading Stolen Vehicle Recovery
(SVR) tracker system.
Production underway at JCB
Brazil factory
JCB is continuing its investment in global
excavator production capability with the
opening of its newest factory in Brazil where
the first 20 tonne machine, a JS200LC tracked
excavator, has already rolled off the line. Carlos
Hernández, Regional Director JCB in Latin
America said “The Latin American region is
undergoing strong growth this year and our
decision to constantly invest in the expansion
of production capability will help us achieve our
objective of maintaining business growth and
increasing our market share in the region.”
