BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP
PLANNING COMMISSION
December 16, 1985
PRESENT: Thompson, Little, Dickson, Lupin, Smith
ABSENT: Low
(1)
Howard Keating was present pertaining to his site plan for cluster
development on the SE corner of Quarton and Lahser. Mr. Leman
reviewed his report on the plan advising the plan as submitted does
not conform with Ordinance. Two buildings contain two attached
units in each, with the remaining being detached cluster homes. It
was agreed these two buildings would be changed to four detached
units and revised plans will be submitted including elevations,
floor plans and full site development including landscape detail.
Motion was made by Dickson, seconded by Smith and was unanimously
supported to table the site plan for detached cluster development
on acreage parcel C-257-C2 Section 27, for submittal of revised
detailed plans.
(2)
Jeff Drake of Burger King was present on their site plan for the
addition of a green house and pay window at their restaurant on the
NE corner of Telegraph and Square Lake Roads. There was discussion
on existing conditions on the property created when the proposed
attached office building was not constructed and the ensuing
property division. It was determined the building wall on the NW
side, which is on the property line, should be faced with brick.
Motion was made by Dickson, seconded by Lupin and was unanimously
supported to forward the site plan for an addition of a green house
and pay window at Burger King, pt. ac. par. C-38B, Section 5, to
the Township Board with recommendation for approval subject to
revision of plan to include brick face on the northwesterly wall of
the building.
(3)
There was discussion on the 1-20-86 Public Hearing scheduled to
consider rezoning properties at the intersection of 14 Mile Road
and Franklin Road from OR-1 to R-3. The Planner advised he is in
the process of studying and reviewing the proposal and does not
anticipate completion prior to the January 20 date. Supervisor
Korzon advised the Commission he has requested a thorough review
by legal counsel and does not believe that will be completed in
time for a public hearing on January 20. Motion was made by
Little, seconded by Dickson and was unanimously supported to table
the public hearing scheduled for January 20, 1986 considering
rezoning from OR-1 to R-3, ac. par. C-310-D, Section 31,
(19-31-476-005) located on the NW corner of 14 Mile and Franklin
and ac. par. C-311-2, Section 31 (19-31-477-002), located on the NE
corner of 14 Mile and Franklin Roads, for thorough review and study
by planners and legal counsel.
Motion was made by Thompson and was unanimously supported approving
the December 2, 1985 minutes as submitted.
Motion was made by Smith to adjourn.
