PLANNING COMMISSION<br />

Mr. Lord presented a pre-preliminary site plan for a new office<br />

building abutting his building on Lots 163-168 and 266-269,<br />

Supervisor's Plat No.2, Section 6, located on the east side of<br />

Telegraph at vacated Dorchester Avenue. This new office building<br />

would be leased to Cadillac Plastic & Chemical Company and both<br />

buildings would be under one ownership. The site plan has four<br />

parking spaces within the required 25 ft. front set back and the<br />

petitioner presented a permit from the State Highway Department<br />

for a 20 ft. perpetual greenbelt on the road right-of-way in<br />

front of the property. Motion was made by Dickson, seconded by<br />

Smith and was unanimously supported that the basic layout and<br />

parking arrangement as shown on preliminary site plan reviewed<br />

tonight for a new building adjacent to the existing one on Lots<br />

163-168 and 266-269, Supervisor's Plat No.2, Section 6, is<br />

acceptable with the 20 ft. perpetual greenbelt provision.<br />

Recommendation is given for approval of the variance for four<br />

parking spaces in the required 25 ft. front set back. A completely<br />

detailed site plan is to be submitted for review.<br />

Jehovah's Witnesses were represented requesting pre-preliminary<br />

discussion on installing additional parking at their Kingdom Hall<br />

located on the corner of Rotsel and Hood Roads, Lot 8, Bloomfield<br />

Acres, Section 5. They presented the plan of their existing<br />

facility and discussion was held on some possible changes. They<br />

were advised if they wish to proceed with change, they are to<br />

submit a complete detailed site plan keeping in mind the property<br />

is zoned R-P and the requirements of that zoning district.<br />

Motion was made by Dickson and was unanimously supported<br />

approving the September 16, 1985 minutes as submitted.<br />
