At United Airlines, our priority is safety and keeping an on-time schedule.<br />

On occasion, canceling or delaying a fl ight is the only option to assure we<br />

maintain the highest safety standards.<br />

Flight canceled? We automatically confi rm you on the next United fl ight<br />

with available seats. EasyCheck-in® units located in the concourse will<br />

assist you with information and a boarding pass—it will also help you<br />

standby for an earlier United fl ight if one is scheduled. If you want to<br />

travel standby and aren’t boarded, we will transfer your name to the next<br />

United fl ight to your destination until you are onboard.<br />

What about my bag? Baggage is boarded on the next fl ight if space is<br />

available. This means your bags may arrive before you. United will secure<br />

the bag until you claim it. See a baggage claim representative.<br />

What if I have to stay overnight? If a fl ight is canceled to address a<br />

mechanical issue or another similar reason within our control, we will<br />

Customers who have e-tickets and<br />

are traveling domestically may use<br />

the kiosk to:<br />

2. Obtain a boarding pass<br />

3. Standby for the next fl ight<br />

to their destination<br />

such as weather—we may be able to help you locate a local hotel at a<br />

discounted rate; however United does not cover hotel or meal expenses<br />

in this event. If we can not retrieve your checked bag, overnight kits<br />

What if the reason for my travel no longer exists? If as a result of the<br />

delay or cancelation you decide not to travel, call United reservations<br />

(1-800-UNITED-1) to get information on your options.<br />
