Regional Territorial Coor<strong>di</strong>nation Plan, approved in terms of Regional Council Decision NO 250<br />
of 13/12/1991.<br />
Articles of interest for the can<strong>di</strong>date area:<br />
Article 19 – Directive for protecting natural and environmental resources.<br />
Article 33 – Directives, regulations and restrictions for parks, nature reserves, and areas in which regional<br />
countryside is protected.<br />
This article identifies the following parks and nature reserves that are to be set up in the Alpine and<br />
Pre-Alpine Sectors:<br />
– Dolomites of Ampezzo (declared a Park in terms of Regional Law N° 21 of 22.3.1990).<br />
– Monte Pelmo.<br />
– Monte Civetta.<br />
– Dolomites of Belluno (Declared a National Park in terms of Ministry of the Environment Decree<br />
of 20/4/90).<br />
– Marmolada Ombretta.<br />
– Antelao-Marmarole-Sorapis. In ad<strong>di</strong>tion the article specifically states that in the “territorial areas<br />
identified in the P.T.R.C. for the setting up of regional parks and nature reserves, in the process<br />
of instituting the same the local territorial Bo<strong>di</strong>es may carry out or authorise works aimed at restoring<br />
and environmental reclamation, with the agreement of the Regional Government in consultation<br />
with the technical body. These works may be for the purposes of public use, without<br />
preju<strong>di</strong>ce to the need for authorisation by the bo<strong>di</strong>es responsible for protecting the environment<br />
and the countryside in terms of Laws 1497/1939 and 431/1985.<br />
