the conference week that will help you develop a plan and get the most out of the

The key to a successful conference is putting yourself in smaller, more intimate groups
where you can truly connect and learn from your peers. Some of the best
opportunities to do this are:
■ Open Meetings–These informal meetings allow you to connect with peers
interested in the same topic or in similar situations. The group decides where the
conversation will go.
■ Poster Fairs–These presentations allow you to interact with presenters
one-on-one.
■ Member Interest Group Meetings (MIGs)–With more than 30 different MIGs,
attending a MIG meeting is a wonderful way to connect with a much smaller group
around professional and personal interests.
In addition to being great learning opportunities, each of these offerings is sure to grow
your professional network.
