PARKING
The closest facilities to America’s Center convention
complex are the garage and lot located on Seventh
Street between Washington Avenue and Convention
Plaza.
SAFETY IN ST. LOUIS
The area around America’s Center is safe for pedestrians
and tourists, but you should exercise caution as you
would in any metropolitan area. Pay close attention to
the traffic signals and cross streets only at designated
intersections. It is best not to carry large sums of money
or allow others to see your money or other valuables. Do
not wear your NAFSA name badge outside America’s
Center. Do not give money to panhandlers on the street.
After dark, do not walk alone. Check with your hotel
concierge or front desk before considering visiting a
neighborhood that you do not know. Stop by the
Conference Information and Hospitality Center or the St.
Louis Visitors Center to ask for tips on how to reach the
cultural sites or restaurants you want to visit.
SHUTTLE BUSES
Complimentary shuttle service will be provided
between America’s Center and official NAFSA hotels
not within walking distance of the convention center.
In an effort to reduce carbon emissions, shuttle hours
are limited to morning and late afternoon/evening.
Please plan accordingly. Wheelchair-accessible buses
for a particular route can be requested at the Shuttle
Bus Service Desk located at the Washington Street
Entrance of the center or by calling +1.866.439.8564.
Shuttle route schedules will be available at each hotel,
at the Shuttle Bus Service Desk, at the Conference
Information and Hospitality Center, and in the Pocket
Planner.
SPEAKER READY ROOM
If you are presenting a workshop, session, or seminar and
need assistance with audiovisual equipment, visit Room
125 during registration hours.
TRANSPORTATION WITHIN ST. LOUIS
MetroLink and MetroBus provide easy access to
neighborhoods, attractions, and shopping districts
throughout St. Louis. For more information, visit
www.metrostlouis.org or stop at the Conference
Information and Hospitality Center.
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN
Volunteers must check in at the Local Arrangements
Team office, located in Room 106, at least 30 minutes
before your first volunteer shift begins. Want to
volunteer? Stop by Room 106 to inquire about
opportunities during the week.
WI-FI ACCESS
Free Wi-Fi will be available in select areas of the
Wi-Fi network.
