Mr. James Maclaurin<br />

Non-Executive Director<br />
Mr. James Maclaurin was appointed to the<br />
Board of <strong>Dialog</strong> Axiata on 10th May, 2011.<br />
He is presently the Group Chief Financial<br />
Officer of Axiata. Mr. Maclaurin has worked in<br />
the telecommunications industry for over 16<br />
years and has held a number of senior finance<br />
leadership positions including CFO for Africa<br />
and Central Europe at Vodafone, Group CFO<br />
of Celtel, the pan-African mobile operator, CFO<br />
of UbiNetics, the 3G technology developer<br />
and EVP Finance of Marconi, the UK-based<br />
telecom vendor subsequently sold to Ericsson.<br />
In the mid 90’s he worked in Asia and served<br />
as the Finance Director of General Electric<br />
Co. of Singapore and prior to this he was the<br />
Finance Director of the General Electric Co. of<br />
Bangladesh. He currently serves on the boards<br />
of a number of international public listed and<br />
private limited companies within the Axiata<br />
Group.<br />
Mr. Maclaurin holds degrees in Engineering and<br />
Finance from the Universities of Dundee and<br />
Heriot Watt, Edinburgh, Scotland respectively.<br />
He is also a member of the Institute of<br />
Chartered Accountants of Scotland.<br />

Mr. Mohd Khairil Abdullah<br />

Non-Executive Director<br />
Mr. Khairil Abdullah was appointed to the Board<br />
of <strong>Dialog</strong> Axiata on the 19th November, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />
Mr. Khairil Abdullah is presently the Group<br />
Chief Marketing & Operations Officer of Axiata.<br />
Prior to Axiata, he was a Partner at Bain &<br />
Company, Inc., a leading global management<br />
consultancy. He was with Bain for more than<br />
15 years and worked out of various offices<br />
in the firm, including San Francisco, Munich,<br />
Sydney, Tokyo and Shanghai. He has built a<br />
strong track record of helping his clients in the<br />
telecommunication and other industries and has<br />
achieved major improvements to their strategic<br />
positions and operational performance. In 2008,<br />
he returned to Southeast Asia to help Bain grow<br />
its telecommunication practice in the region<br />
based out of Singapore.<br />
Prior to joining Bain, he was an operations<br />
consultant at Coopers & Lybrand, Management<br />
Consulting Services. He also had a stint running<br />
a tech start-up based in Southeast Asia.<br />
Mr. Khairil Abdullah holds a BA (Engineering)<br />
and MEng from the University of Cambridge,<br />
United Kingdom as well as an MBA from<br />
INSEAD, France.
