4. Choose Install Selected <strong>Product</strong>s from the Select <strong>Product</strong>s dialog box <strong>and</strong><br />

press RETURN. The Done Selecting <strong>Product</strong>s Confirmation dialog box<br />

appears:<br />

5. Type Y to continue with the installation or N to select additional components or<br />

subcomponents. The Copy Scripts? dialog box appears:<br />

<strong>OpenEdge</strong> products consist of several scripts <strong>and</strong> program modules. When you<br />

install a product, the scripts are placed in the installation directory you specify.<br />

6. Choose one of the following:<br />

• To allow all users on your system to run the product, you should answer Yes<br />

when prompted to copy the scripts to /usr/bin. Type Y to instruct the<br />

<strong>Installation</strong> Utility to place <strong>OpenEdge</strong> scripts in /usr/bin <strong>and</strong> in the<br />

destination pathname you specified earlier.<br />

Caution: Answering Y might cause the <strong>OpenEdge</strong> <strong>Installation</strong> Utility to<br />

overwrite existing executables in this directory.<br />

• Type N to instruct the <strong>Installation</strong> Utility to place <strong>OpenEdge</strong> scripts in the<br />

destination pathname you specified earlier.<br />

Note: If you are maintaining two versions of <strong>OpenEdge</strong> on the same<br />

machine, answer N to this question.<br />
