Chapter 5: Performing an <strong>OpenEdge</strong> <strong>Installation</strong> on UNIX or Linux<br />

When performing a rolling upgrade, make the following port updates:<br />

• In PluginPolicy.Progress.AdminServer, change the AdminServer port <strong>and</strong><br />

the adminport in $DLC/properties/AdminServerPlugins.properties to the<br />

following:<br />

adminserver port=20955<br />

adminport=7901<br />

• Change the NameServer <strong>and</strong> Unified broker ports in the<br />

$DLC/properties/ubroker.properites file; specify any port number other than<br />

the default values.<br />

• Change the database agent port in $DLC/properties/agent.properties to the<br />

following:<br />

database agent port=8839<br />

• Change the Fathom Web server port in FATHOM/config/fathom.properties by<br />

modifying the [webserver] section to include the following:<br />

httpport=9095<br />

• Execute the fmconfig -enable -port comm<strong>and</strong> to enable monitoring<br />

for the Fathom remote port.<br />

Installing a new console<br />

After upgrading the sotftware on your monitoring system, the next step in a rolling<br />

upgrade is to install a new console.<br />

To install a new console:<br />

1. Install <strong>OpenEdge</strong> components to a new directory.<br />

2. Install <strong>OpenEdge</strong> Management to a new directory.<br />

3. Create a new fathom.properties file in the new FATHOM/config directories <strong>and</strong><br />

define the httpport.<br />

Note: When defining a new port number for httpport,use a different number<br />

than 9095.<br />

4. Copy the FATHOM/db/fathom.o* files from the old console to the new console.<br />
