Irr the spring of 2002 issue I wrote about
the Deerhound being the dog of Three
Beauties, one of which was ternperament. I
would like now to elaborate a little on this
because I think ternperarnents have changed
since I had rny first hounds in the nineteen
fiftics.

You orrly have to say that you are not keen

irnrnediately that you dislike it intensely, or such-and-such is attractive for
people to leap to the conclusion that it is an absolute essential viftue.
Bearing this caveat in mind, I will try to exprain what I mean when I say
that I think the Deerhound temperarnent has changed, but the reader rnust riot

and the possibility of finding a bad one is almost certainly less than in any
other breed. One would not criticize at all if the overall siandard were not so
very high.

Thanks to Mick, Jean and Torn Rhodes, and everyone else we were able to
put it togetlrer again, I carr tell you I had some sleepless niglrts. I am holdirrg
