A further meeting was held on 30'h August, with Mrs Dowsett, Mrs Peach<br />
and Mrs Piggott all absent due to illness. <strong>The</strong> Kennel <strong>Club</strong> now required a<br />
Health Declaration as part of the <strong>Club</strong>'s Arrnual Returns, and it was agreecl<br />
that a Health Cornrnittee be appointed - Chaired by Miss Finnett, witlr Dr<br />
Saralr Helps as Secretary, with power to co-opt as necessary. Mrs Rednrorrd's<br />
petition had been received requesting that the <strong>Club</strong> ailply to the KC lbr<br />
rcirrst:rtcrnent of CCs at Windsor Charnpionslrip Show. <strong>The</strong> Cornnrittee I-clt<br />

(basctl on ,5'2, ol'irrcourc) to the SSPCA, BSAVA, AHT, JAWS, and JLrsticc<br />
lirl l)ogs. Supported L,ntry shows for 2004 were agreed, to encourage<br />
cxlribitors to elrter and give judges ntore hounds to assess. A red tartarr<br />
rosette fbr l" places, together with f3, f2, f.l prize morrey. Soutlr East<br />
Hound, Hound <strong>Club</strong> of East Anglia, Hound Associatiorr of Scotlarrd,<br />
Hinckley & District, arrd Gillingham & Shaftsbury were chosen. Miss<br />
Finnett reported the "deerhound.co.uk" website was now live. <strong>The</strong> Lirnitctl<br />
Show was discussed, as was Lodge Park, Aldsworth, Cheltenlranr period<br />
costutne & lure coursing event (see this issue of the Newsletter fbr details ol'<br />
the event). We continue to discuss future <strong>Club</strong> events, and the Treasurer<br />
pre.sents details of our financial affairs. Our next nreeting is scheduled for<br />
