Tem is the Protean God of Fohat, the personified cosmic vital energies created by the
Will of the Logos. The source is self perpetuating Becoming. Tem as Fohat in Aquarius
comes forth from Nu. Ra is Tem as the Word, an active emanation as Light. Ra-Tem
becomes A-Tum. The Light of Aquarius shines forth from the darkness of the rock tomb
of Capricorn.
Fohat is the cosmic energy of space related to and being the source of electricity,
magnetism gravitation, cohesion, light, etc. Fohat comes forth as Toom (Tem) in
Aquarius from Noot (Nut) or Space. Tem or Atmu represents motion in the Waters of
Space (Atum). Khephera is the scarab of unfoldment from the Sea to Ra, the principle of
Light or the Fire of the Sun exalted in Aries. It manifests as the Word (or
Taurus) through the Voice of Ra. Ra is the Sound of Tem and the Light of the World.
