(b) geographical segments:<br />
The Group operates in three principal geographical areas in the world. In Malaysia, its home country, the Group’s areas of operation<br />
are principally installation of pipelines and facilities, offshore oil and gas drilling services and provision of marine services to the oil<br />
and gas industry. Other operations in Malaysia include investment holding and provision of management services.<br />
The Group also operates in other countries in the Asia Pacific region:<br />
(i) Singapore -provision of geotechnical and geophysical services to the oil and gas industry.<br />
(ii) Australia -development of marine technology and marine chartering, specialising on ROVs.<br />
The following table provides an analysis of the Group’s revenue by geographical segments:<br />

(c) Allocation basis<br />
Segment results, assets and liabilities include items directly attributable to a segment as well as those that can be allocated on<br />
a reasonable basis. Unallocated items comprise mainly corporate assets, liabilities and expenses. Segment revenue, expenses and<br />
results include transfers between business segments. These transfers are eliminated on consolidation.
