The <strong>Health</strong> Sector Reform Program launched by the Min<strong>is</strong>try of <strong>Health</strong> and Population<br />

has defined as an essential corner stone a set of health services that the Government of<br />

<strong>Egypt</strong> would like to offer to the general population, with a special emphas<strong>is</strong> on the<br />

poorest and the low-incomes categories. Th<strong>is</strong> core set of health services delivered by the<br />

reformed health system <strong>is</strong> called "the Basic Benefit Package". It <strong>is</strong> the masterpiece of the<br />
