Operation Setting the Insert Feeder 1. Adjust the side guides to the width of the material being fed, then back-off a quarter turn on the side guide control. This will set the correct clearance between the guides and the material. 2. Refer to the ‘label’ located on the insert feeder. Compare your insert with the diagram. Read off the settings for the insert feeder blue lever (numbers 1 to 9) and the separator shield (letters A to D). Thin Material Thicker Material Thick Inserts/ Booklets etc. 3. Set the blue lever to the number required. 2-6
4. Set the separator shield to the letter required. 5. Fan the inserts to be run and place them onto the feed deck face up with their bottom edge feeding first. Let the ‘wedge’ slide down behind the stack so that the inserts are supported. 2-7 Operation
