14. If you are absent and therefore do not press the START/STOP button at the end of
the programme, the bread is automatically kept warm for an hour. After that hour, 10
beeping sounds will be made.
15. If you have finished using the breadmaker or are not going to use it remove the
plug from the electric socket.
CAUTION: Use the hook to remove the knead hook at the bottom of the bread. The
bread is hot. So be extra careful and use oven mitts.
NOTE: Store the bread in a closed plastic bag or a box if not completely eaten. At
normal room temperature bread can be stored for up to three days. If you wish to
keep bread longer you can store it in a closed plastic bag or box for a few days in the
refrigerator. Since homemade bread contains no preservatives, the shelf life is shorter
than that of bread from the bakery/shop.
SPECIAL TREATMENT
for the QUICK programme
The QUICK programme allows you to make loaves very quickly through the use
of baking powder or baking soda instead of yeast. To obtain a perfect result, we
recommend adding all liquid ingredients first so that they are at the bottom of the
baking tin and then adding the dry ingredients.
At the start of kneading some of the dry ingredients may accumulate at the sides/in
the corners of the baking tin. It is therefore important to use a rubber spatula to help
during the kneading in order to prevent flour lumps.
for the ULTRA FAST programme
The breadmaker can produce bread even faster using the ULTRA FAST programme;
however, the structure of the bread will be a bit more solid. When using this
programme the temperature of the water is very important because this may affect
fermentation negatively. If the water temperature is too low the bread will not rise
to the expected size. On the other hand, if the temperature is too high, the active
ingredients will be destroyed in the yeast and this too will affect the baking results.
The ideal temperature is between 45°C and 50°C. So before using the ULTRA FAST
programme make sure you use a cooking thermometer to check the water temperature.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Remove the plug from the electric socket and allow the appliance to cool off before
cleaning it.
Baking tin: remove the baking tin by turning it anti-clockwise and with the aid of the
handles meant for this purpose. Clean the inside and outside of the baking tin with a
damp cloth. To prevent damage to the non-stick layer do not use any sharp objects or
abrasive cleaning agents. The baking tin must be thoroughly dried before putting it
back into place in the machine.
TAKE CARE: Place the baking tin in the breadmaker and turn it clockwise until it
