INTRODUCTION<br />

The aim of “The ERA-MORE <strong>Visiting</strong> Researcher’s <strong>Guide</strong> to <strong>Estonia</strong>” is to help researchers from<br />

all over the world who plan to come to work or study in <strong>Estonia</strong>. The information provided<br />

herein is relevant and applicable for researchers, academic personnel and doctorate students,<br />

but is not necessarily applicable to other mobile workers.<br />

Our aim is to make your mobility experience as easy as possible. This guide offers you<br />

guidelines for arranging employment and work formalities and also for managing the practical<br />

matters of everyday life in <strong>Estonia</strong>. We have tried to provide information for a short visit as<br />

well as for long-term research work in <strong>Estonia</strong>, so that you can get the most from <strong>Estonia</strong>’s<br />

excellent, although not very well-known research landscape.<br />
