8.1 Emergencies<br />
IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, CALL:<br />
110 Police<br />
112 Emergency calls, Ambulance<br />
Calls to emergency numbers are free of charge<br />
and can be made from any phone, including<br />
pay-phones and the mobile phones of<br />
any service provider (incl. foreign).<br />

EVERYDAY NECESSITIES<br />
You should report the following when making an emergency call:<br />
• What happened?<br />
• Where did it happen?<br />
• Who is calling?<br />
• Is somebody injured? What is their condition?<br />
• Can somebody give first aid?<br />
In case you are contacting the police, you should describe as precisely as possible the people<br />
and/or vehicles involved.<br />
Remain calm and answer any additional questions you might be asked. Do not end the phone<br />
call before you have been told you may do so.<br />
