c<strong>on</strong>vective cloud clusters when they develop vigorously,this paper gives a definiti<strong>on</strong> to it. It<br />

comes to several statistical c<strong>on</strong>cluti<strong>on</strong>s by investgating the whole process from starting to<br />

disappearing of mesoscale c<strong>on</strong>vective cloud.<br />

(2)Raising a new point about the origin of the mesoscale c<strong>on</strong>vective cloud clusters,it is<br />

c<strong>on</strong>sidered that the fundamental reas<strong>on</strong> which causes the mesoscale c<strong>on</strong>vective cloud<br />

clusters is heating in local and dry layer;rather than upper trough or surface fr<strong>on</strong>t.<br />

(3)Analyses show that 74% mesoscale c<strong>on</strong>vective cloud clusters can cause torrential rains of<br />

the middle Yangtze River during meiyu seas<strong>on</strong>,44% torrential rains of the middle Yangtze<br />

River during meiyu seas<strong>on</strong> are caused by mesoscale c<strong>on</strong>vective cloud clusters.So to do well in<br />

the torrential rains of the middle Yangtze River during meiyu seas<strong>on</strong>,the analysis of mesoscale<br />

c<strong>on</strong>vective cloud clusters is essential.<br />

Abstract:According to the climatic datas about 101 stati<strong>on</strong>s of Hunan province from 1951<br />

to 1980,and the datas hour by hour from part of observati<strong>on</strong>al stati<strong>on</strong>s in Hunan, in climatic<br />

and meteorologial term,in macroscopic and microcosmic term,this paper analyses the effect of<br />

D<strong>on</strong>gting Lake <strong>on</strong> the temperature,coming out:1.<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> effect of D<strong>on</strong>gting Lake <strong>on</strong> the daily<br />

variati<strong>on</strong> of air temperature is very obvious,Yueyang is by the east of the D<strong>on</strong>gting Lake,its<br />

daily maximum temperatures appear at 17 in average,even meteorologists in the lake district<br />

have not perceived this definitely before;2.<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> extreme maximum temperature of D<strong>on</strong>gting<br />

Lake district is lower than surrounding regi<strong>on</strong>s,and its extreme minimun temperature is higher<br />

than surrounding regi<strong>on</strong>s;3.<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> mean annual maximum temperature of D<strong>on</strong>gting Lake is lower<br />

than surrounding regi<strong>on</strong>s,and its mean annual minimum temperature is higher than<br />

surrounding regi<strong>on</strong>s,the data is about 1 ;4.<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> daily range of temperatures of D<strong>on</strong>gting Lake<br />

are smaller than other regi<strong>on</strong>s in Hunan province;5.<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> high-temperature days and<br />

low-temperature days of lake district are fewer than others.<br />
