contamination or other spatially variable features between or beyond investigation positions is
conjectural and provided for guidance only. Confirmation of ground conditions between
exploratory holes should be undertaken if deemed necessary. Evaluation of ground gas and
groundwater is based on observations made at the time of the investigation and any
monitoring visits, but it should be noted that levels and quality may vary due to seasonal and
other effects.
