From figure 8 it is apparent that users <strong>of</strong> antidepressants are much more likely to have zero wage<br />

income than n<strong>on</strong>-users <strong>of</strong> antidepressants in the populati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> MTX users. The correlati<strong>on</strong><br />

coefficient between usage <strong>of</strong> antidepressants <strong>and</strong> wage income is -0.0776 at the 1 % significance<br />

level. Similar correlati<strong>on</strong>s are found in the literature, but again c<strong>on</strong>tradicted by others. For instance,<br />

Zimmerman & Kat<strong>on</strong> (2005) affirm that income is significantly correlated with depressi<strong>on</strong>, but<br />

when c<strong>on</strong>trolling for other factors this is no l<strong>on</strong>ger the case. They do c<strong>on</strong>firm that employment<br />

status is causally related to depressi<strong>on</strong>, as put forward earlier.<br />
