∗ A programs of work of this tender so as to complete the same within the time requited by
the tenderer.
It will be obligator for the Tender keep their open for acceptance for a period of180 days from
the date of its opening.
1.10 Conditional tender shall not be considered valid.
1.11 Authority is reserved to reject any or all tenders received or to all to the work to one or more
contractor without assigning any reason.
1.12 In the case of successful tenderer (hereinafter called contractor) the amount of E.M. will be
transferred to wards the initial security deposit (I.S.D) which will have to be augmented so that
I.S.D. will be 5% of approved amount of tender and further 5% shall be deducted form the bills.
1.13 The earnest money of successful tenderer, which accompanied the tender will be forfeited in
case the tenderer fails to turn upto sing the agreement or to deposit the balance amount of I.S.D.
within 10 days of being called upon to do so.
1.14 Tender notice through press this (N.I.T) enclosures accompanying the tender document Ministry
of Road Transport & Highway specifications for Road & Bridges (Fourth Revision) and all
correspondences leadings to final disposals of tender will form part of the contract documents.
1.15 (a) Departmental materials if supplied by the department will be charged from the contractor at
issue rates & at the place of delivery as mentioned below against each item. (Carriage or
transportation of these materials of the work site is to be done by the contractor at his own cost.

Note:-
∗ In case bulk bitumen is issued arrangement for empty drums and its filling in to empty
drums and its transportation handling etc. and other incidental expenses in this regard shall
be borne by contractor is shall not be reimbursed in any case.
∗ Issue rate of the bulk Bitumen shall be equals to that of the packed bitumen and the
contractors shall not question the issuing authority regarding the type be delivered.
∗ Damage or flattened empty bitumen drums will not be taken back and therefore its cost will
be recovered @Rs 170/- each. Damage empty cement bags also will not be taken back and
therefore its cost will be recovered @ ` 3.20 each.
∗ Hire charges of road roller not above does not include the cost of P.O.I. but its cost of
included in the departmental rates mentioned in chapter-5 of the tender documents therefore
the contractor has to bear the additional cost of P.O.L. which shall neither be repaid to him
not an claim shall be accepted in this regard.
∗ (a) Roller shall be delivered at a place where it is available on the same shall be carried to
work site by the contractor at this own cost and his will return beak the roller to the nearest
NH stores as per the direction of E/I at his own cost. Expenditure on this account shall not
be recourse.
(b) All materials (including bitumen grade 60/70 polymer modified or any other grade as the
case may be will be supplied by the contractor. Recovery will be done @ Rs 85/- each for
damaged/flattened drums because the cost of packed bitumen is finally borne by the
department short all in return of empty bitumen drums shall be recovered at penal rate vide
clause 3.17 of chapter-3 (Special revision) of tender document.
