Dictionary Pack
Use this field to specify the Dictionary pack for the software you are currently configuring.
Files that will be located on your specified Dictionary Pack are described in the following
table.
Dictionary Pack Files
In each case, the Database Control file is renamed during the configuration process.
If you do not enter a value in the Dictionary Pack field, the Default pack is used.
Enter HELP DICTIONARY for online help.
Object Pack
Use this field to enter the pack for the system code files and DMS code files for the
software you are currently configuring. This pack will also be used as a work pack and for
storage of Report source code files.
Enter HELP OBJECT for online help.
Log Pack
Use this field to enter the pack on which log files are to reside. If you do not enter a value,
the Audit pack is used.
Note: If a Log backup program/job is present, it must be on the Object Pack.

Use this field to enter the pack family that will be used to store the structures holding
information on the terminals accessing the software you are currently configuring. These
are high-activity structures, and having them on a separate pack family could improve
your throughput. If you do not enter a value in this field, the Database pack is used.
