This document provides information and instructions for the installation and configuration
of MCP based Enterprise Application Software releases.
The primary audience for this document consists of those responsible for the successful
installation of MCP based software. A secondary audience consists of Enterprise
Application Environment users who need to understand the requirements and procedures
necessary to migrate systems from previous releases to the current release.
Where specific operating command strings are given, italics are used to delimit
metatokens or variables. Enter an actual value in place of these variables as instructed.
Square brackets delimit optional values.
Windows 2000 Compatibility
Developer software is qualified on Windows 2000 Professional, and we see no reason
why Developer will not work on Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server. Please note
the following requirements:
• Runtime for Windows Operating Systems and Builder Server for Windows Operating
Systems require Windows 2000 Server when using the SQL Server database in a
Windows 2000 environment. (This does not affect the ability of SQL Server database
to operate in a Windows NT 4.0 environment.)
• Terminal Server requires Windows 2000 Server.
