Sealed tenders are invited from Indian Bidders for ”replacement <strong>of</strong> Convection Section<br />
and Stack for Heaters 11-F-01 and 12-F-01”, as per the enclosed tender documents in<br />
TWO BID SYSTEM. The details <strong>of</strong> the tender are as follows.<br />
1. Tender document number : 7000109-HD-46002/DBS<br />

2. Description <strong>of</strong> the work : Residual Engineering, preparation <strong>of</strong><br />
fabrication <strong>drawings</strong>, procurement <strong>of</strong> materials,<br />
fabrication at shop / site and supply, dismantling <strong>of</strong><br />
existing Stack, convection Section and associated<br />
structurals etc, and erection <strong>of</strong> new Convection<br />
Section, new Stack, associated structurals etc. for<br />
the above two heaters as per the <strong>drawings</strong> and<br />
specifications enclosed.<br />
3. Completion Period :<br />
a) Fabrication and supply : 5 months from the date <strong>of</strong> Fax <strong>of</strong> Intent.<br />
b) Dismantling and erection : 20 days from the date <strong>of</strong> advice, which shall be<br />
intimated 25 days in advance. This activity is to be<br />
completed in shut down period.<br />
4. Site Visit :<br />
a) Agencies, on downloading the bid documents, shall<br />
study the same, understand the scope <strong>of</strong> work and<br />
make a site visit along with their technical<br />
representatives and obtain clarifications, if any, on<br />
the scope in its entirety. During the site visit the<br />
agency shall visit CDU-II unit to have a first hand<br />
understanding <strong>of</strong> site conditions and obtain<br />
clarifications, if any, regarding the scope <strong>of</strong> work &<br />
other terms and conditions <strong>of</strong> the bid. Tenderers<br />
shall contact HPCL and visit site with prior<br />
appointment. The bid submitted by the tenderers<br />
without visiting site will not be considered.(For more<br />
details please refer clause no.3 <strong>of</strong> “ Special<br />
Technical conditions” <strong>of</strong> the Tender document)<br />
b) Subsequent to the site visit and discussions,<br />
agencies shall collect a certification letter from<br />
Chief. Manager / Sr.Manager – Maintenance T& I ,<br />
stating that they have completed the site visit.<br />
