his carriage and behaviour wtin yis burt speciallie in troubling of honest mennis Servundis
under situe of nycht grippig & abusig yame to his filthie appetit And be uttering at all
occasions of filthie speeches to ye offens of God – And yfor faytfullie promissit to abstane frae
ye lyke filthie abuses in all tyme cumig And gif he sould be found or tryt Comittig ye lyck
hereafter he actit himself of his aune c’sent to remove himself & his familie furth of yis burt &
be banished ye sam for ever.

An Act of Counsall that all vesels of their arrivals or departure be Registered to the Controlling
of ye Coptice of ye pier Master of ye said burt – And knowing and trying ye estaites of
Merchandis & passengers haifing gudes wtin ye said Schippes Crewris & barkis quhidder yae
be free burgess or Bro Gild or not to ye grit preiudice of ye estait of ye gildrie wtin ye said burt
– Theirfoir has Statuted and Ordanit that ye Clerk of ye said burt sall p’ntlie mak ane Register
for q’tainig of ye Said entries in writt to ye Clerk to the effect he May moirt ye Sum in ye said
Registre & delyvir ye sam back to ye preisinter signed wt his hands to be givine to ye Dene of
Gild & peir M’r And yt befoir yai brak bowk or pass to yr intendit vouges – Ilk M’r under ye
pane of five lb toties quoties p’viding yt ye Clerk of ye said burt tak na mair for his panes nor
viSs viiid for ilk entrie.
