Alexr Johnston, Goldsmith London purchases the Lands of Baldovie upon which the Town<br />

appears to have a feu of 500 Merks besides the like Sum at the Entry of a Lineal Heir – which<br />

feu Mr Johnston offers to make purchase of from the Town.<br />

John Rollo (Gild Councillor) proposes to the council to take a two Nineteen Years Tack of that<br />

piece of Ground belonging to the Town lying on the West side of the Hilltown and to Oblige<br />

himself to hedge the same in – which proposal they are to consider and Appoints the Same to<br />

be intimate to the Convener.<br />

The Provost intimates to the Council that the patrons of Stivens Mortification propose placing<br />

their Funds Amtg to £1050 Sterling in the Towns hands at per Centum.<br />

The Patrons of the Hospital Borrow of Mssr Reid £215 and a Sum of £60 to pay £214.0.8d of<br />

Bond to John Milne and Pat. Maxwell Acceptance (as Shore Master) to Bro Pat Yeaman of<br />

£60.11.1 Sterling.<br />

The Shore dues regulated by a New Table in consequence of which the Tacksman agrees to<br />

give an Additional £30 per Annum.<br />

An act of Council of due date 3 June 1718 Setts in tack to Thomas Wardroper One of the their<br />

Baillies a Seat in the Old Church to him and his Heirs at 3/4d per Anm which the present<br />

Council having considered they recind the same act and appoints the Seat to be Lett as<br />

John Milln Ship Master Obtains and angled piece of Ground upon payment of Four pounds<br />

Sterling upon the West End of the Pack House with the privilidge of Erecting Cellars or too<br />

falls on the Gable Wall of the said Pack House And to renounce his ground Annual of three<br />

pound Scots upon payment of two pounds Sterling being the ground Annual on which Capt<br />

Miln errected a Tennement of Lands on the North of the Angled piece of Ground Sold him.<br />
