Any person who wilfully or negligently violates the requirements of this Chapter or<br />

regulations laid down pursuant to this Chapter is subject to f<strong>in</strong>es or imprisonment <strong>for</strong> a<br />

term not exceed<strong>in</strong>g three months or both.<br />

Complicity is punishable <strong>in</strong> the same manner.<br />

Section 9a-8. Day-care facilities <strong>for</strong> school children<br />

The provisions of this Chapter shall also apply to day-care facilities <strong>for</strong> school children<br />

established pursuant to this <strong>Act</strong>.<br />

Section 9a-9. Regulations<br />

The M<strong>in</strong>istry may issue further regulations concern<strong>in</strong>g the pupils’ school environment.<br />

Chapter 10. The school staff<br />

Section 10-1. Qualification requirements <strong>for</strong> teach<strong>in</strong>g staff<br />

Persons appo<strong>in</strong>ted to teach<strong>in</strong>g posts <strong>in</strong> primary and lower secondary education and <strong>in</strong><br />

upper secondary education shall have relevant professional and educational<br />

qualifications. The M<strong>in</strong>istry issues further regulations concern<strong>in</strong>g requirements regard<strong>in</strong>g<br />

educational qualifications and experience <strong>for</strong> persons appo<strong>in</strong>ted to teach<strong>in</strong>g posts <strong>in</strong><br />

different grades and different types of school.<br />

Section 10-3. Staff at permanent school camps<br />

Teach<strong>in</strong>g staff at permanent school camps shall be employed by the municipalities where<br />

the camp is located. The M<strong>in</strong>istry may issue regulations concern<strong>in</strong>g qualification<br />

requirements <strong>for</strong> the staff at permanent school camps.<br />
