such diverse, but nevertheless intense effort to
connect and establish oneself within a multilayered
set of people. The college was a suitable
place to understand filmmaking based on networking
and the difficulty to express and share
visions with everybody involved. It also meant
to be naked and give people access to one’s own
habits and ways to be, some that are voluntarily
embraced and others that result in irritation
and distance. It felt very human and I found my
own limitations and difficulties open for everyone
to see.
However, I realized that living within a new
environment makes it possible to put daily life
into perspective and grasp new ideas along the
horizon. In spite of all the film-related technicalities
we dealt with, everyday I saw the chance
to embrace a moment and to communicate at a
level that appeared to me rare and precious.
